Welcome to Malaika Events, the wedding and event planning company of choice. Malaika Events was founded by Rachel Prince and Katrina Evans, we specialise in civil partnerships, weddings and other important events such as baby showers, birthdays and anniversary parties, offering a bespoke service to each of our clients
At Malaika we approach each celebration as a combined venture and aim to be alongside you as we help you plan your event. We start with a free consultation to get to know you - because we like to understand your style, passions, likes and dislikes. We can then reflect your lifestyle and personality into your celebration.
Rachel and Katrina offer over ten years of combined experience in conference and event organisation.
Currently completing the qcevent training, Rachel is a primary school teacher who has organised many school fund raisers, parties and gala events. Also she has worked with a charity organisation for 15 years as a volunteer supporting through coordination of fund raising and protmotional events. Katrina, has over 10 years experience of coordinating conferences and exhibitions.

We can ensure that every element of your event comes together with style and efficiency. The flow, timing and unfolding of your day is so important and this is the result of our attention to detail - we focus on service and make sure you and your guests feel they are taken care of. We believe our commitment to excellence allows you to relax and enjoy your unique day in the knowledge that we are there for you.
We offer services that range from a full planning and supervision of your event - coordinating the guest list, suppliers and all staff involved. Supporting family members in their requests for food, accommodation and events or attractions they may want to visit while in the area.
However, some of you want to be involved so we can also offer support in specific areas including but not limited to:
Attire - for you or any of the family or key people.
Food - for the day and for a special quieter gathering before or after the event.
Accommodation for guests
Transport - both to and from venue but also from arrival in area to departure by train or plane for you and your guests
Church Liaison - including finding celebrant to meet your requirements.
