My name is Kimberly Reynolds and I am a 26 year old mom of 2 of the most amazing little boys. My family is my absolute everything and have been a big support for me working to fulfill my dreams of becoming an Event and Wedding Planner. I am so happy to say I have finished this course and am now certified as an International Event and Wedding Planner Professional. I am a manager at a Restaurant by day but my passion has always been to plan...pretty much for anything and everything for anyone.

I grew up in the Niagara region and was always involved in planning things at school. I helped build my school website in elementary school and was also co-editor for both our school paper and yearbook. When attending high school I chose to study another passion of mine which was accounting. My first 2 years of college I attended Niagara College which was close to home but could not seem to find where I really belonged. I changed my programs many times from accounting to nursing to social worker when I realized that math was what I was good at so I should just stick with that. I ended up combining all my credits and graduated from Niagara College with my General Arts and Science Diploma.

In 2007 I decided that a change was needed and moved to London, Ontario to attend Fanshawe College. I completed my General Business Diploma and also worked on continuing my Accounting program. I took some time off from school after having my son and still felt like I was not doing what I was meant to do. After coming across the QC Event School I was very interested in the International Event and Wedding Planner Professional Certificate Program.

With the encouragement from friends and family I decided to enroll in the course and loved every step of the way. This is really where my heart is and this is truly a job that I love to do. I plan so many things without being paid for it for family and friends it just makes sense to follow my dreams and make a career out of it. Previous events I have planned are fundraisers for my employer, stag and does, my son's baptism, 1st and 2nd birthday parties, a Halloween party, kids Easter party, a 25th Wedding Anniversary and many family gatherings.

Services

Although my main interest is in kids parties and weddings, I am willing to work on any event with a great idea. Here are the services I offer:

Package 1: Consultation - A one-on-one sit down meeting to discuss the details and goals of your event. I will then provide you with locations, caterers, florists, entertainment, etc. You will then be able to take your new information and use it as you please.

Package 2: Planning & Preparation - You will receive a complimentary 1 hour sit down consultation to discuss your event ideas. We will then work together to get the best vendors and services possible at the best rate. I will work side-by-side with you right up until the day before your event to ensure your day is ready in the best way possible.

Package 3: Day-of Coordination Services - I will be on location the day of your event to oversee and ensure everything is going as planned. I will be there to help give direction, problem-solve and help with anything else needed.

Package 4: Complete Planning Services - This package includes my services from beginning to end. You will have your complimentary sit down consultation, help planning the entire event including finding the best vendors and services at the best prices and my personal attention the day of the event to oversee and coordinate all activities. Finally I will also help with any post-event tasks.

As a strict bargain hunter in my everyday life I love to help others make their visions come true on any budget no matter how tight it is. I look forward to working for YOU in the near future.

Due to every event being unique and having a different budget, prices will be discussed when contacted so every celebration is able to be accommodated.

Our family attended a first birthday party Kim had planned for her son, Kaelan. The theme she chose was from the "Cat in The Hat", and right when you walked in, you could see how well she incorporated the theme into the party. Kim put a lot of attention into every detail and made sure her little guests and parents alike, would feel welcomed and be entertained at the same time. There is just too many to list, but Kim thought of everything! She had Cat in The Hat themed cupcakes, loot bags, games, crafts, T.V. with the Cat in The Hat cartoon playing, an awesome Thingamajigger that kids could actually sit in and made a great prop for photos; and she even had someone dressed in the Cat in The Hat costume. Kim is very organized and really knows how to get the most out of her budget!

Kim provided a beautiful baptism reception luncheon for approximately 100 guests. From the beginning to the end of the celebration, it was well thought out and exhibited. From the invitations to the thank you cards, each piece was put together with care. All the centrepieces, table covers, balloons and streamers were all matching the colour scheme of white, silver and blue. The food was exceptional. There was an abundance of food, desserts and drinks. Even the cake was not a last thought. She put much time and effort into making sure the cake was coordinated with the baptism theme. The celebration captured wonderful memories, with her creating a heartfelt photo timeline showing the baby's first 5 months, for the guests to engage in. She made sure each guest was comfortable and left each person a favour box with treats for the ride home. Everyone enjoyed themselves and had nothing but great words about her creativeness and organization. Her expertise will impress anyone, and her final presentation went above and beyond everyones expectations. Thanks for the great atmosphere!

Kim planned an amazing Halloween Party a couple years ago. I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out, from the decorations as soon as you walked in the door all the way to having activities for the kids such as pumpkin carving and the best part: a Pinata full of goodies. Everything was thoroughly planned. We also recently attended an Easter Egg Hunt party that she planned for our nieces and nephews. The kids loved her table she had set up to do their colouring, painting eggs and making their personalized baskets. They also loved the Scavenger Hunt game she created for them and the "yummy" pizza she served. Kim is well-organized, sincere and creative. She always has prompt answers to my questions and provides much needed guidance when I am struggling with creating my own parties for my children. Kim is fantastic! Anyone would be lucky to have her as an event planner.
