I founded Unique and Complete Designs because I love design. Design and event planning was imbedded in me at an early age; I started planning events in high school. In high school I was in NJROTC where I planned two successful Military Balls. After graduation from high school, I attended Robert Morris University, where I majored in Interior Space Planning and Design. While studying Interior Design I learned about color and how to use it in spaces, how to utilize empty spaces, and how to make functional spaces by using furniture. After graduating with my associate’s degree, I wanted to pursue my love and passion for event and wedding
As a little girl planning my own wedding has always been a dream and an excitement for me. I would dream that my prince charming was coming to sweep me off my feet into the land happiness. Event planning has had a grand impact on my life, even as a child. My mother used to take me to prayer breakfast and I would pick at the centerpieces, my father’s family would have family reunions, and my church would have banquets. At each event I would learn something different. I watch etiquette shows that were on television. Even now, I attend bridal expos and trunk shows in the Chicago area. Living in Chicago I have found out that we have a wide range of event and wedding resource that is willing to help you.
I attended Robert Morris University majoring in Interior Space Planning and Design. While attending, I grew my love for event planning and also, build relationships with outside resources in the downtown area.
In the 2009, I attended QC Wedding Planning School, where I learned about the wedding and event industry. The school helped me from start to finish in gaining knowledge about the industry and also, made me more comfortable with speaking to other vendors and potential clients.
Not only do I have organizing skills but also, problem –solving skills, quick thinking skills. I have experience in stationary work: invitation, programs, table cards and name plates. Also, flowers: experience in centerpieces, bouquets and knowledgeable about different flowers. My goal is to know each area in the event world. I feel that would enable you, as a planner, to help your clients with decision they have to make during the process.
A consultation meeting is an introduction meeting for me and my potential clients. It allows me to get to know you and understand how you need my help. For my client it allows them to build a level of trust with me. It’s also, a time for question, concerns, advice, ideas, and picking of the brain. Some couple would just want to have this meeting in order to get recommendation on vendors or just to get ideas or ask question I will help them, too. The fee for this is hourly but with a potential client this fee goes complimentary with day of planner and or full service.
[Day of Planner]
A day of planner helps you the day of the event. For those couples, who have planned their wedding but need help executing the day of, I’m here. During this process we have to have an open line of communication because I may have questions or need to gain information from you. Also, you have to give me a schedule for the event, contact information, vendor timeline, and also, SOS calls if you need help. I require that we meet three time prier to the event, attend the rehearsal and the final walk though of the venue, and also, emergence list with mom/dad and or maid of honor/best man contact information. The fee is hourly but includes meetings, rehearsals, and wedding day. So I will be doing minute meeting sheets to keep track of our time together; you also will receive a copy of this sheets.
[Full Service Planner]
A full service planner handles everything from start to finish. We’re involved in every detail of the wedding, decisions being made, and every contract being handled. We help you in organizing the event, meeting and making appointments with vendors, finalizing details, explaining the things you may not understand and cheering you on in keeping a calm and relax attitude during this process. The only area I would not get involve with is the guest list but if you have questions on how to shorten it, then call me. The fee is flat rate but it depends on the size of the wedding, location, and any extra accommodations I provide you with.
When we began to pray and ask God to position our wedding party in their roles. He anointed Pamela Edgeworth our coordinator above and beyond. Pam not only did her job but picked up some of our slack and burdens and creatively carried it, assisting in keeping everyone else intact and on point. If we had to chose or vote for one of the best wedding coordinators with hands down our vote goes to Pamela Edgeworth.
