Creating magical moments
I am currently working on my Event/Wedding Planning & Event Decor Course. Creativity is what inspires me. I may be new to this profession but I do have the skills required to be successful in my field. I’ve been in the customer service industry for well over a decade, have been a Banker for years. I have a Bachelor degree with Psychology & English Literature as my majors. Having said that it’s my experience in customer service that gives me the confidence to say that I am a people’s person. What I offer is sparkling creativity and my fresh, bold thinking that will result in an effective and beneficial event.
I’ve had the opportunity to plan few events for friends, family and occasionally at my work as well,including a surprise birthday party for my daughter, a bridal shower/ dholki party for a close friend’s daughter. I have been an active member of the social committee at work. I take pride in mentioning that I’ve had the opportunity to successfully plan a baby/ bridal shower and a retirement party for my co -workers. I must say it does limit one’s options when working on a budget and that’s when creativity comes in handy. I was able to come up with the ideas to decorate our boardroom to make it look like a party room which includes making some of the decorations myself to stay on the budget. I can definitely say the best one of my amateur works has been the surprise birthday party for my daughter. I wanted to give her the party that she would remember for a long time. Taking care of the smallest of details like wrapping party favors, choosing decorations which I was having difficulty finding, but that didn’t dampen my spirits and I chose to make them myself to go along the theme which was the number 20. Next was finding a bakery to order the kind of cake I had in mind along with cupcakes and the cookies shaped as number 20 . Party was a success and that’s when I came to a realization that this is what I love to do. There were few guests who made a point to bring it to my attention that I should look into pursuing this passion of mine as a career. I am excited to start my own business and am looking forward to build a relationship with my potential clients based on honesty and mutual trust. My targeted market is Brantford and surrounding areas.
Since I am new in the industry my initial focus is on clientele planning small events or those with busy life styles or simply have hectic work schedules and that’s where they can benefit from the services I have to offer to save them time, money and reducing their stress level, helping them focus to enjoy and participate fully in the event.
My services are based on the requirements of my clients, I am open and flexible to coordinate all elements of an event or just a few major aspects of planning their event. I believe in promoting local businesses which helps in keeping it cost effective for clients too.
After the initial consultation I would be preparing a detailed checklist of all the key elements of the event, discussing it over with the clients to avoid any last minute surprises. Last but not the least is maintaining a reasonable time frame to deliver what I promise that is “Creating magical moments for my clients”.
