I have been in the hospitality industry for over 8 years and my career for the last 5 years were to effectively plan and execute events. I see it like an orchestra: it is crucial that all elements of the symphony come together to form one solid production under the lead of the conductor (aka me!). I am meticulous with detail to ensure that you sit back and enjoy your corporate or social event while I'm behind the scenes making sure everything is running smoothly.
I began in hospitality while pursing a B.S. degree from UC Davis. What started out as a coat check position evolved in my fascination with napkin folding, cleaning up after banquet events, and eventually event planning for members of up to 500 guests during my 6 year stint at Diablo Country Club. Once in a while, I’d also assist Janelle, the Director of Catering, in off-site weddings. Upon graduation, Janelle encouraged me to make this a full time profession because she believed in my potential. This seal of approval gave me the confidence that led me to become the Assistant Banquet Manager at the Sir Francis Drake Hotel, the Banquet Manager at Round Hill Country Club, and Banquet Manager at Hotel Monaco San Francisco. Along the way, I was nominated as Leader of the Quarter at Sir Francis Drake Hotel and selected at Manager of the Year at Round Hill. Currently, I’m a Catering Manager at Kuleto's Private Dining in San Francisco and spend my free time as a freelance event/wedding planner.
Whether you need assistance in planning the whole production the whole way through to just a day-of event coordinator, or anything in-between, I can accommodate your needs and requests. From an intimate backyard wedding of 30 to an extravagant production of 500 guests, my goal is to elevate the bride and groom’s wedding experience. After working with various vendors consistently, I have resources that I confidently recommend for my clients as well.
Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Anniversaries, Birthdays, celebrations, and anything in-between, any type of event that you have a vision for involving a social gathering, I can make it become a reality. I also can negotiate contracts that involve banquet event orders.
From a small local corporate meeting to a national gathering of executives from around the nation, I have managed for years the strategy of effective banquet room setups for a company that needs the space for one day or one week. My list of skills include arranging rooms to fit the clients needs like seminars, fairs with exhibitors, audio/visual assistance, break out sessions, coffee breaks, sit down lunch or business style lunch, or formal dinners and receptions. Charity Auctions and Golf Tournaments are also types of corporate events that I have years of experience putting together too.
Streets Parties and Local Mixers
Leave it to me to take care of the technical and legal logistics of these events, from obtaining a temporary liquor license to setting up security, sectioning off streets, and booth placements. My beverage experience allows me to gauge at bar needs, set up, and equipment and I’m PR/media savvy to promote the events on a broader scale for the targeted audience.
