evolution is the solution
I was born and raised in London, England. I now live in Vancouver, Canada with my
husband and two children.
I inherited my artistic talent from my parents and at Art College I developed my silk
painting and textile design skills.
Having a flair for interior design, I am able to walk into a room and instinctively
absorb the color, layout, design and functionality of the space. This leads me to
quickly imagine the changes and improvements that could be made to enhance the
I enjoy helping people create the living space that best suits their needs. My
personal approach is to spend time with them in their home, discussing their ideas,
budget, suggesting possible alternatives and showing them examples, in order to
clarify the best way forward.
One day I would like to have a home with sufficient space and scope for me to design
each room/zone in a specific theme. Now, wouldn’t that be any designer’s dream?
I was educated in London England, 1982-1993, achieving GCSE certificates including
English, Art & Design and Mathematics. In 1995, I achieved the BTEC National
Diploma in Design. In 2000, I was awarded the Certificate in Marketing by The
Chartered Institute of Marketing.
From 2000 I was employed as a Marketing Manager with responsibility to organise
and manage events for corporate team-building and business promotion. This
involved designing stage sets, liaising with a variety of tradespeople and negotiating
with management and clients.
I relocated to Vancouver, Canada in 2007 and was employed by Rainmaker Inc., an
animation company as Executive Secretary to the CEO and Production Director . I subsequently was granted Canadian citizenship and have made Vancouver my home with my husband and two children. I am a director of my husband’s corporate event company and am involved in the website design and the set-designing for murder mystery events, such as in the style of a country mansion. I am also studying an Interior Design Course (QC Quality of Course Inc.).
