This was a condo design project to plan and design a living room/kitchen and eating area in the same space. The space was limited and we had to divide it in three areas to cover the client's needs. Since most new condos use open floor plans so the living, kitchen and eating area are all tied together so they should flow design wise as well. To give it some architectural features to the bare walls I used wood planks and wall panels. For the colour scheme we used green and orange anchored by black, white and grey. 

This is the second part of the condo project. A good idea for small kitchens is using open shelves instead of cabinets. You sacrifice some storage space but the whole area overall seems bigger, more open and more modern.

This living room had an open floor including the entrance hall which needed storage and the kitchen. To make the space feel warm and inviting we used a gas fireplace, built in shelving and a lot of seating for entertaining. The turquoise colour and the animal print ottomans  give that feminine touch that the client wanted. 

This room had many windows and plenty of light coming in. So I decided to give it a cabin feel with washed wood planks floor and a blue and yellow colour scheme. The dark wood stained beams and the gas fireplace make it warm and cosy for winter days as well. 

This client wanted a French Boudoir inspired room but elegant and romantic in the same time. So I chose this bed that was the statement of the room and designed the room around it. We incorporated some rouge to complement the black of the bed and create that boudoir look but kept it elegant with the white fireplace and the chairs and simple curtains. 

This was an empty box looking room that the owner wanted to use as a family room and entertain when having friends over. We separated the room in two areas: the lounging area with the sectional and the armchair around the fireplace and the eating or playing area when having people over. Because the room had only two small windows we kept the colour scheme light with a light grey wallpaper and pine wood flooring. Michelle had many female friends and she wanted to use this space to gather and have drinks during the weekends. To give that feminine touch we gave the room some pops of fuchsia as an accent colour. They loved it!


This client had three children and was longing for a space where she and her husband could spend some quiet time without children and toys around. So I decided to create this hotel style room by installing a gas fireplace with built ins around it for books and storage. And a couple of chairs with a small table for reading or having a drink. For the accent wall behind the bed I used wood boards in an umbra colour and on the other walls I used scion branch wallpaper in light grey. As an accent colour I used aqua to give the room that serene and relaxing feeling they much needed.

In this project I used marble tiles on the floor and on three walls to protect them from moisture. I used the fourth one as an accent wall by using a charcoal grey I picked from the floor tiles and used a double sink vanity with two beautiful white mirrors with very ornate frames. To soften the cool effect of the marble I used pops of red in the mirror frame and bath mats and  the fuchsia chair gives that unexpected touch of comfort and elegance. 

This client loved purple. To give her the purple colour we used it on the wall and used neutral colours for the furniture, curtains and accessories. In this way, if she got tired with the purple all she will have to do is repaint her walls and add some accessories  and not change any piece of furniture that would be costly.   

In this condo living room we changed the layout to accommodate more people when entertaining and the room to have a more natural traffic flow. We also accessorized it to give it a warm and welcoming feeling. 

This bedroom felt old and stark. We removed the wallpaper and used paint to create the striped wall. Then, built an upholstered headboard and a foot bench for the bed, added new bedding and curtains, restored an old dresser, used owner's artwork, and voilà; a brand new bedroom with a limited budget.
