Any home can feel beautiful again.

Proverbs 24:3-4: By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare & beautiful treasures.

Any home can feel beautiful again. It just takes come creativity, a pair of fresh eyes, and some inspiration to help you find your taste & style, then blend that with your family and lifestyle.

After 15 years as a stay-at-home mom who constantly rearranged her home, I've decided to pursue my dream of becoming an Interior Decorator & Home Stager. My children are still my life, but my nest is quickly emptying.

God Blessed me with a natural gift for pulling rooms together, and after researching several different courses, I decided to pursue my IDDP & ISRP designations through QC Design School. I loved that I could do my coursework at home, at my own pace, and still attend my children's activities, church, and work part-time.

For the past 5 years, I've worked for Charles Neil, renowned furniture craftsman. I've learned so much about furniture design & function, as well as the history behind many pieces. I understand woods better than probably any other home material, and am grateful I can offer clients the opportunity to own pieces of Charles Neil's furniture if they desire.

A long-time Valley resident, I attended Robert E. Lee High School in Staunton, graduated from Wilson Memorial in Fishersville, and then attended Mary Baldwin College. I met my husband on a blind date and relocated to Rockingham County, where we have happily raised our children. I have stayed very active in our local Rockingham County Community. I was a Girl Scout Leader for 7 years, as well as the Director of the Girl Scout International Fair for 8 years. When my children were younger, I served on the Grottoes Little League Board of Directors and coached softball for the 11-12 and 13-16 age groups. I am also an active member of McGaheysville United Methodist Church as well as the Shenandoah Valley Emmaus Community, where I've served on the Board of Directors (2012-2014). My children have attended elementary, middle, and high school in the Spotswood area, and we are die-hard Blazer fans!

My specialty is helping homeowners fall in love with their own home again, and within a reasonable budget. Whether that is color enhancement, updating a home that's showing it's age, furniture placement, or shopping for art & accessories, no job is too small for me to help you.

My Staging services can vary from a Consult and To-Do List to full-scale painting, repairs, and rearranging. For extensive work, I can recommend contractors.

I also offer seasonal decorating services. I'll inventory what you have, come up with a design plan, shop for (or create!) anything missing, and Get Your Halls Decked. Then, at the end of the season, I will sort and pack it back in bins to use the next year. But just don't think Winter & Christmas - spring, summer, and fall are all great to decorate for, and not only will you feel more festive, you'll have less hassles when you know you have a trusted professional caring for your belongings and making your home more welcoming to your friends and family.
