Walker Weddings and Events is a solely owned company by Denyse Walker and is looking to be the number one event and wedding planning business in Nova Scotia and PEI. We hope with the option to have your Decor done through us as well as the normal wedding and event planning, we will have a clear advantage over the other wedding and event planning companies in our area.
The services that will be offered but Walker Weddings and Events are simple, Everything from Corporate events to weddings and they will be offered packages that they can choose from that will meet their specific wants and needs. Depending on the package they choose, it will dictate the price that the client is going to pay. There will be five different packages that the client can choose from:
1 Consultation: Offering counsel and advice
2 Planning and preparation: Arranging venues,
vendors, supplies, invitations
3 Day of event coordination: Attending the event
to oversee and troubleshoot if necessary
4 Decor rental and set up/take down
5 Complete service which includes all the above
Everything the client needs at a price they can better afford, that is what Walker Weddings and Events can do for them.
The sole owned of the company, Denyse Walker, has a lifetime of customer service experience, she work extremely well with clients and will do anything that needs to be done to make them happy. With all different types of schooling, from secretarial courses to event and wedding planning course, she is a well rounded person that can get any job done. With her Event Decor course Denyse Walker looks to take her business one step more then most event planners do, she is looking to include the Decoration process with her event planning so that there is one less step the client has to take. She will be supplying the decorations and setting them up for the client so she does not have to look elsewhere for this part of the planning to get done and in the end the client will be saving money with just saying with Walker Weddings and Events.
Walker Weddings and Events hopes to, when the business is successfully established, hire another planner to help with the clients and a secretary to help with the day to day work.
1 Consultation: Offering counsel and advice:
With this service Walker Weddings and Events will sit down with the client and lead you in the right direction from recommending a venue or vendors, to helping you create a vision for your big day. Services can include but are not limited to: Budget allocation, Theme & Vision Development, Venue Selection, Time line Creation, Dinner Etiquette, Vendor Referrals and Design Concept. The planner will also answer any questions the client may have.
For this package it will be based on a hourly wage, the client will pay $40.00 per hour.
2 Planning and preparation: Arranging venues, vendors, supplies, invitations:
This service is for the client that has already started planning their wedding and can handle most of the planning on their own, but they need someone to help them complete the process. It covers all the unfinished details that the client needs assistance with and helps make the clients vision a reality. Together we agree upon the level of planning assistance needed. It may involve the venue, some key vendors, hotels and/or transportation. Walker Weddings and Events will begin working with the client at a time period that is suitable given the degree of planning involved. Ultimately we can build a package to suit your needs.
For this package the price starts at $300.00 for corporations, $500.00 For Weddings, and $100.00 For Individuals. The price goes up depending on the clients budget, we will take 10% of the budget as payment or the starting price for each section, which ever is the more in the end.
3 Day of event coordination: Attending the event to oversee and troubleshoot if necessary:
You have done the legwork, vendor contacts and have your day already planned, but you want to leave the details to someone else to carry out. Relax with your family and friends, or get pampered on your wedding day while we make sure that all the details are in place and that your day runs smoothly, that is what Walker Weddings and Events will do for the client.
For this package the price will also be based on a hourly wage, the client will pay $40.00 per hour, up to a max of $600.00 for the services the planner provides.
4 Decor rental and set up/take down: COMING SOON
With this service Walker Weddings and Events will help the client decide on a theme for their event and supply everything from chair covers to place settings. The planner will also have the venue set up and taken down for the client as well.
For this package the client will pay a rental fee plus tax per item they rent from Walker Weddings and Events, they will also pay an hourly fee of $35.00 per hour for the time setting up and taking down.
5 Complete service which includes all the above:
Walker Weddings and Events can take care of every aspect of your event to ensure that your day is everything you envisioned. We will help you to create an affair that not only reflects your personal style, but incorporates all the special touches that you and your guests will love. We will collaborate with you to ensure that your vision becomes a beautiful reality. This package is for the client who want a stress-free event planning experience. The planner takes care of every little detail, according to the client specifications. This simplifies the planning process, for the client, by allowing them “one point of contact” to take care of every little detail. The service includes all of the packages above for the clients convenience.
The cost for this package starts at $500.00 for Corporations, $800.00 for weddings, $100.00 for individuals. The price goes up depending on the clients final budget. We will charge 10% of the budget unless the total adds up to less then the min of each section.
