We have been planning Weddings, Birthdays and Christenings events for the past 5 years in Sussex.We are looking to venture into Kent as well.

Wedding 4th August 2012 We first approached Bill and Dawn to discuss our plans for our wedding just before Christmas. From the outset Dawn came up with various different ideas and suggestions for the table plan and theme and music and Bill came up with numerous menu suggestions for both out sit down meal and evening buffet. We did not need to have too many meetings with Dawn and Bill as they were contactable by telephone, and did not mind us contacting them with any queries we had. We were updated throughout the plans of our special day. We decided on having a Marquee in the garden at the Pub, and this allowed us to seat approximately 45 guests. It was spacious and the marquee gave us the option to have it either open if the weather was good or closed if the weather was bad. Thank goodness the weather was good and the marquee remained open all afternoon. The marquee was beautifully decorated and the tables were superb. We had 40 guests at our wedding and we decided on the idea of the guests being served the meats as a carvery, and then helped themselves to the vegetables, salad etc. There was so much choice and plenty of food for everyone. The guests could all have two or more deserts each if they wanted. Wine and soft drinks were placed on the tables and the guests could still order other drinks from the waitresses that Dawn had employed for our wedding. All the guests said the food and service was lovely. When the speeches were due to take place the guests were given Champagne. Once the afternoon was over, all the guests made their way into the pub and had the use of the beautiful seating area in the garden as well. The garden was all lit up once it got dark. We had fantastic entertainment for the evening and once again the buffet was superb. We had a fantastic wedding day and we would recommend the Bricklayers Arms as a venue to any couples who want to make their special day as stress-free as possible. Harry & Lisa Cook
