Meghan graduated from The Pennsylvania State University in May 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts from the College of Communications in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in Kinesiology.
During her four years at Penn State, she gained a great deal of experience in broadcast journalism and strategic communication.
Currently Meghan is living in Florida working as the Manager of Communications and Events at Global HR Research, pursing a Masters in Public Administration degree at FGCU and working on charitable events in the local community.
When not at work, Meghan spends time with friends and family, travels, attends as many Penn State athletic events possible, takes part in fitness competitions, as well as participates and assists in the organization of charitable events.
Friends and family are a big part of her life. She grew up in Ft. Myers, Florida as an only child, with two amazing parents who have always supported and encouraged her independence as well as hard work. Meghan was a gymnast from the time she was three years old until she went to Penn State as a walk-on to the varsity women's gymnastics team. During her competitive gymnastics career she reached the highest level in the sport; level 10. She competed at level 10 for four years of her career. The sport helped mold Meghan into an independent, organized and hard working individual with a passion for sports.
After arriving at Penn State, Meghan decided that, because of injuries, she would become the team's manger and undergraduate assistant coach instead of an athlete. From the fall of 2007 until the summer of 2010 Meghan remained the manager and undergraduate assistant coach of the team. During her time as manager she helped the coaches keep and analyse stats collected during practice, organized travel plans, secure reservations, and helped the coaching staff with anything they needed on a day-to-day basis. This position helped continue the development of her organizational, event and time management skills.
Travel is a major love of Meghan's. She has been a frequent visitor of the Bahamas and Caribbean throughout her life. The time spent fishing, boating, exploring and taking in the amazing scenes of the ocean have developed her love of nature and a calmness that she carries within her personality. Boating, deep-sea fishing and paddle boarding are just a few activities that she has developed passions for while visiting in the Islands.
After graduation she went from Pennsylvania to Oklahoma to coach with Bart Conner and Nadia Comaneci then off to Chicago. In Chicago Meghan worked for the PGA of America on a special event for the 2012 Ryder Cup. During this time, she worked for both Medinah Country Club and the PGA on tournaments and special events that led up to the main event, the Ryder Cup. These experiences made her realize her passion for event planning connected with sports. The events she was involved with for this international sporting event brought to light her true passion for event planning and desire to be in the sport event industry.
Currently Meghan is working as a the Manager of Communications and Events at Global HR Research in Florida. This position has only enhance her passion for the event industry, further developed her experience with events and utilizes her experience in communications to further the grow the reach of Global HR Research's brand and services.
