I'm in Design with You in Mind!
My name is Valerie Jackson, and I have always loved the aspect of Design! From painting artwork, to re-arranging a room in my house, the task when finished, always fills me with the great sense of accomplishment. I created a life-motto for myself many years ago, and it still holds true today. "I want to create or better something, not just maintain the status quo". My approach to Staging entails three key elements: imagination, hard work and a little Psychology.
Growing up in the Pacific Northwest allowed me to experience so many great design variations! After several years of living there, I moved to the South and started my working career as an associate for the J.C. Penney Corp. My nearly ten year tenure with the company gave me a unique opportunity in learning color coordination skills. I obtained my Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology in 2007 and later went on to gain another degree, but this time in Nursing. After graduating from college, I started working in a business office full-time, but, my love of design/art was always at the back of my mind. Co-workers began asking me to paint them pieces of art work to decorate their homes, so I decided to really take the first step and begin studying Design. I graduated and obtained my ISRP certification in May 2009.
My services include:
Staging consultations of the given property/home (exterior and interior), redesign of furniture arrangements, color coordination, assistance in choosing the best accessories for any given space, de-cluttering and planning of editing any miscellaneous items from problem rooms.
