Hello. My name is Tamara Hildenbrandt and I love interior design! It is my belief that the best gift you can give to yourself is a healthy happy environment to live and work and handle the things that we need to in our lives. This is why I am so dedicated to listening to a client's needs, and then express their style in a way that is completely functional for them. It has been said before, that if everyone were the same, this world would be a very boring place. We are all different and like different things, and that is what makes going into someone's home so exciting because you get to see their form of expression and decorating!
Here is a little information about me...I grew up in a small town in the state of New York. I was a professional dancer of ballet, jazz, and modern forms. There was always a need to express my sense of creativity and for a while, I did this through dance, art, painting, and even re-designing my own living spaces. It wasn't until I became a stay-at-home mother that I realized I wanted to become more educated about interior design. So, I enrolled in a program to become a certified interior designer, and it has fulfilled me in so many ways.
For me, there is nothing more exciting than transforming a room with a fresh can of paint. In all of my home projects, I am the sole painter. By the time the walls are dry, it is like finishing a picture in a dream when it comes time to furnish and decorate a room.
Attention to Detail
Besides my ability to communicate very well with people, one of my strengths is to efficiently pay attention to detail where attention is needed. This may mean remembering to put something in a room that was asked of me, or just having an overall beautiful room, where no matter where you look, there is perfection.
My services always start with a free consultation, where I will meet with you and discuss in detail, what exactly it is that you would like to see happen in your room(s), budget, style, etc...
Follow Up- Approximately one to two weeks after our consultation, I return with materials and visuals, so that options can be discussed and decisions can be made.
If your room requires any kind of painting, it would be me personally doing the painting. If there is contracting services needed, I have a "team" of fantastic experts that I work with, and the costs of these services would be discussed in one of the firt two meetings.
Fees - My fee is $30 an hour, only for the time that I am doing any work for the project. I do not charge for the time that I oversee any contracting projects, etc. Any furninture or products that are purchased for the room, you will be charge the retail amount and the only income that I make from these products is the markup from designer discount to actual retail price. If you have questions about this, they can be discussed and negotiated in the consultation.
