This living room is the primary gathering spot for this 1920's cottage.  
The space has a difficult footprint to work with, open to both the office and dining room with three large windows and the entry door. 

By changing the furniture layout the living room is now clearly defined yet works well with the adjoining office and dining room. A new rug updates the feel of the space. The living room now shows well as a warm welcoming spot to sit and chat, view television or read. 

This office, located opposite the living room in an open concept space, is far to cluttered. 

The tidy office area is now clearly defined and anchors one end of the long narrow living space.
