Thank you for stopping by! My name is Jackie Nordeman and I am the owner of Limelight Interiors. At Limelight Interiors we are excited and passionate about decorating and staging and love to help those who are little less enthusiastic! We can help you by taking the guess-work and stress out of decorating your home to stay, or staging it to sell! We will work with you to establish a personalized plan that works for you.

Background & Experience
I got an early start in the redesign and decorating field. As a child, I would often return home from school to find that my mother had re-arranged our living room or had completely de-cluttered and moved my bedroom furniture around! I loved it! As an adult, I guess you can say that I inherited that trait (hubby likes to call it a “habit”). After my years as a stay-at-home mom for our 4 children; I studied and became an educational assistant and went on from there to briefly teach grade 3 in a local elementary school. After my teaching contract expired, I could no longer resist the “pull” to enter the field of decorating and staging and that’s when I enrolled at QC Design School for interior redesign and home staging.
Limelight Interiors has been successfully operating for 3 years and we have been blessed with numerous satisfied clients. The majority of our most recent projects have been for clients who wished to remain in their current dwelling and wanted to have their homes redecorated/redesigned. In addition, we have also staged a number of vacant and occupied homes destined for the real estate market and consulted on potential listings at the request of local real estate agents and homeowners.

Interior Decorating/Redesign Services

Interior Redesign is an innovative and budget-conscious approach to decorating. Using a homeowner's treasured belongings and existing furniture pieces to their best potential, Limelight Interiors will create affordable and outstanding transformations that will breathe new life into any space and produce stunning results!

Interiors Decorating is more involved than redesign and may include the selection of new furnishings, artwork, window treatments and accessories as per the home owner's requirements.

Description of Service

Limelight Interiors will meet with you in the privacy and comfort of your own home or office. During this meeting, Limelight Interiors will tour the room(s) that require decorating/redesigning and will take room measurements; notes on your needs and wishes as well as your preferences of style and tastes. A custom design plan will be tailored for your project. A separate meeting will be necessary to present you with a selection of samples and finishes. We will gladly assist you with making the best selections for your specific project and to alleviate stress and confusion, Limelight Interiors will assist you with any or ALL aspects of your decorating project. We will work with you from the start of your project to its completion.

Interior Decorating/Redesign Fee:

$125.00 is the initial investment for an interior decorating or redesign consultation and is limited to a 2 hr. maximum. If additional time is required, it is charged at an hourly rate. During the initial consultation, a thorough assessment of your needs will be determined and decorating ideas, suggestions and recommendations will be offered to you. Limelight Interiors can organize all aspects of your project, from start to finish helping you achieve your decorating goals. Limelight Interiors works with a network of professional trade people that can be contracted to complete all required work. (Please note: Rates can change without notice. Geographical location can alter the base investment)

Current Rates:

$40/hr. for ALL aspects of your project including; but not limited to: travel time; hiring contractors, sourcing, shopping (furniture, appliances, paint, flooring, window treatments, accessories etc.,) and phone consulting.

Also available: 2D and 3D Floor Plan renderings:

A 2D and 3D rendering (AKA floor plan or design layout) can be created for EACH room as required. The initial floor plan created for a specific room will require an investment of $100 and alternate floor plans for the SAME space will be $50 each.

Home Staging Services:

Home Staging is a valuable real estate tool for home owners, investors, builders and realtors. Home staging (also known as interior styling, real estate enhancement,"fluffing", etc) goes beyond decorating a home for the real estate market. Proper pre-market preparation, (in the form of home staging), reduces listing time on the real estate market, gives buyers a greater perception of value and increases the sellers return on investment (ROI).

Home staging is recommended for both occupied and vacant homes. It is recommended to stage a home prior to listing, but it is also extremely beneficial post-listing as an alternative to a price reduction.

Home staging will never cost as much as your first price reduction!

Home Staging Fees:

"Walking Tour" Home Staging Evaluation - $180.00 (3hr. max)

From curb-side to cellar - We perform a thorough walk-through of your home and property with a "Buyer's Eye". We will make recommendations for each room and discuss priority issues as we tour your home. We offer cost effective ideas on how to update and refresh your home; advise you on how to depersonalize and de-clutter your space; create curb appeal and make suggestions on how to neutralize paint colours and decor. All of our suggestions and recommendations will be discussed with you during our 3 hr. (max) evaluation. It's our goal to help you achieve the "move-in" ready appeal buyers are looking for so that your home sells faster and for top dollar!

Optional Home Evaluation Handbook (Upgrade) - $50.00

Ideal for use as a "checklist", the Home Evaluation Handbook is a detailed and prioritized 40+ page report prepared exclusively for your home. This handy report allows you to implement the recommendations made during the "Walking Tour" Home Staging Evaluation on a do-it-yourself basis. Using the Home Evaluation Handbook ensures that your home shows to its greatest potential!

Vacant Home Consultation - $125.00 (1 1/2 hr. max)

Vacant homes often lack the warmth and appeal needed for a buyer to make an emotional connection to a home. Staging a vacant property allows potential buyers to envision themselves in the space. A vacant home consultation includes taking room measurements, notes on architectural details, recommendations for furniture placement and designing a plan tailored to suit the home. Furniture and accessory rentals are available as part of the design plan and are quoted in the final Vacant Home Proposal. Furniture rentals are available for vacant homes ONLY and retained on a monthly rental basis.

Showcasing - Minimum 2 hr. booking

Showcasing (also referred to as styling or staging) is the final step in the process of preparing your home for sale. Once your home has been de-cluttered and depersonalized, we use as many of your household furnishings and accessories as possible to ensure that every room makes a great first impression! Since every home is different, Limelight Interiors cannot guarantee that your showcasing can be completed within 2 hrs. but we would be happy to give you an estimate following a “Walking Tour” home staging evaluation.
For your convenience please review our pricing policy below:
2 Hours with 2 Stylists * $40.00/hr per stylist = $160.00 (*Minimum booking)
4 Hours with 2 Stylists $320.00
6 Hours with 2 Stylists $480.00

* Within the minimum 2 hr. booking, 2 Stylists can effectively address 2 to 3 average sized rooms that have been previously de-cluttered.

** On occasion, it may be necessary to incorporate additional accessory items to style certain spaces appropriately. Additional items are available for rent through Limelight Interiors and are quoted separately.

I have lots of ideas and am fairly creative and confident in decorating but the window coverings in my kitchen and hallways were getting to me. What to do with them had me stumped. I had ideas in my head, but was too scared to go ahead as thousands of options were available it was hard to choose. Jackie helped me narrow down the choices, measured everything, offered fabric choices, etc. All I had to do was order it and that part took me 5 minutes! My new window coverings offer great protection from the sun in summer ( very important, since our tree came down), and just the right amount of privacy, plus they look great and give our century home a little touch of modern! The front of our house was lacking 'curb appeal', our steps and door seemed a hundred years old, but being a side door with little room to move made things a challenge. Jackie offerred a number of different options and showed photos. We had the work done ourselves and it looks a million times better! Thanks Jackie!

“ After 6 years of living in our colourless home, I new I had to stop waffling between colour choices and room arrangements. I love to walk into a room and say ahh, to just sink into the couch and feel at home. But that just wasn’t happening for me. In fact I avoided the use of our front room just because of the atmosphere and even worse- the adjacent dining room which I was terribly dissatisfied with. I had experimented with different colour choices but even after making raiding the local paint store of many chips, I just couldn’t commit myself to any particular colour. Enter Jackie Nordeman. Finally someone whom I could trust to make good colour choices. I wanted something different- a change from the carpenter beige that seemed to have taken up permanent residence in every room of my house. Not only was she able to get me to narrow down my colours, (an insurmountable task by itself)- she was able to incorporate the barn red couch from the living room as well. Talk about a tall order. She directed me to a lovely * blue (Benjamin Moore "azores" AF-495) which made the couch pop and gave the room some zing. I would never have even thought of the colour if Jackie hadn’t shown me how it could work. Moving on to the dining room- we settled on a great *sparrow grey (Benjamin Moore "sparrow" AF 720) It worked with the joining living room and created a wonderful flow between the two rooms. I have had sooooo many compliments on the colour choices, even the hot water heater repairmen, paused to tell me how much he loved my colour choices. (Smart Man). Jackie pointed out how to arrange the furniture, hang the curtains and place lighting fixtures so that the rooms were well appointed. I am just so pleased with how it all turned out. Now I can sink into the couch and feel at home. Aaah.
