“The entrance won’t work out—I never talked to the deejay about it.” She was frantic.
“It’s ok. I will talk to him and see what I can do.” I made my way to the deejay and told him my newly-wedded sister’s idea for the reception entrance—a spunky announcement set to a 3oh!3 song.
Shortly after, the wedding party rushed into the hall just as the bride had envisioned. I, the maid of honor, reviewed the process of making my sister’s dream a reality. After zipping up her dress, making the reception favors, talking with the deejay and setting up and tearing down the reception hall, I knew that being a wedding planner was my passion, my calling.

My sister’s wedding was a turning point in my life. After three college semesters of “trying to find myself,” I found myself in the Indy West Conference Center in a burgundy bridesmaid’s dress. I immediately took the initiative to find out what I needed to do to become a certified wedding planner, and I enrolled in and graduated from QC Quality of Course Inc. Since the day I toasted my sister and brother-in-law’s marriage, I have been fully devoted to making others’ dreams come true.
From choosing invitations to booking florists to communicating expectations, planning a wedding is stressful. Hiring a trained professional to handle the hectic details is one of the smartest choices a couple can make when planning a wedding.
