Rachel Grimes

With a passion for all things creative, an obsession for organising and a love for weddings, working as an Event & Wedding Planner is a real-life dream come true. My approach is calm, friendly, practical yet creative, with a focus on building relationships with my clients and suppliers alike to ensure that everything runs smoothly on the day.

My personal service can be tailored to suit your needs, from full planning and design, to on-the-day coordination. From meticulous planning and scheduling, to handpicking and sourcing each individual aspect — my aim is to craft and manage a stress-free event that is unique, memorable, magical, fun, and most importantly, a true reflection of you.

Having worked in the music industry for over 10 years, I have extensive experience in Event Coordination and Project Management roles in the planning and execution of successful events, from intimate events to large music festivals with 120,000 people, dealing with everything from logistics to guestlists, tight deadlines and budgets — problem solving in high-pressured environments on a daily basis.

I love listening to music, going to gigs, good food, playing chess, walking and running; colour, texture, craft, textiles, print and typography; creative blogs, vintage fayres, beautiful buildings and fairy lights; finding inspiration, discovering new spaces and visualising ideas; organising gatherings and getaways with those who mean the most to me. Now it’s time to find out about you…

Let’s get to know each other over a cup of tea or two. It’s time for me to hear your story — your passion, your likes and dislikes, your ideas and not forgetting your guests. After a brainstorming session, I will create moodboards so you can start to visualize each aspect of your special day. Exciting stuff!

Whether it’s a little help, the whole wedding, or somewhere in between, I will tailor an individual package to suit your needs. By discussing the level of support you’re after, I will prepare a bespoke proposal and customised quote. Options include sourcing your venue, event styling and design, handpicking suppliers, travel and accommodation, planning assistance and on-the-day management — whatever my level of involvement, I will work tirelessly to deliver an imaginative, unique and memorable event.

You’re ahead of the game — you’ve organized every aspect of your wedding, but it’s now time for you to hand everything over so you can relax and enjoy the precious time in the lead up to, and on, your special day. We will meet 4-6 weeks beforehand to go through all the details, and from there I’ll produce detailed schedules and checklists, double checking all bookings, reconfirming suppliers and generally making sure every single box has been ticked. I’ll be the on-the-day contact — managing the suppliers, dealing with any queries (and keeping them away from you), checking each detail and ensuring everything looks perfect so you, your family and friends can enjoy every minute of your amazing day.

If you’re planning a wedding away from home, it often makes things a little tricky when you have a million and one other things to do. I will happily (and very excitedly) take care of the logistics, with as much or little input as you like – saving you time, money (and grey hair!).

Get in touch to arrange your free consultation and customised quote – I would LOVE to hear from you!
