For as long as I can remember I have loved organising family gatherings, from a celebratory lunch to milestone birthday parties! To me it is all about the details and making sure everybody has a wonderful time. Of course, things don't always go to plan but finding the solution is all part of the fun of putting an event together!

I did Art and Art History as A Levels so I often look to artists and periods in art history for inspiration when creating a design. Nature has some fantastic colour combinations which would normally be overlooked and can therefore give the subtle difference to an event.

I have 2 years’ experience working for a well-established event catering company which gave me a huge insight into weddings and the logistics surrounding them. It has also meant I have built up some great relationships with a number of other professionals in all areas of wedding planning.

Prior to that, I was a senior project manager with sole responsibility for implementing a £1 million contract, alongside smaller longer-term contracts. Organisation was a key factor but being able to work with others and getting the best results from them lead to the projects running smoothly.

Supplier Search
After having a chat so I can get a feel for your day (phone or email) you will then be given a list of 3 suppliers in the area you are struggling with.

Venue search
We have an initial meeting to discuss your ideas and then you would be given a list of 3 venues – within the price includes 1 accompanied visit.
Note - travel expenses not included if outside of the Northamptonshire area

Wedding theme
We have a meeting to discuss your ideas and then you would then be presented with a mood board and a budget, plus a recommended list of suppliers

On the day management
We have a meeting around 2 weeks before the day – from there, it includes:
A venue visit
Coordination with suppliers during the week before
Schedule & coordination on the day (8 hours)
Unlimited phone or emailing

Final preparations
We have an initial meeting around 8 weeks before the day day – from there, it includes:
A venue visit
Final meeting around 4 weeks before to firm up details
Take on preparation with suppliers
Schedule & coordination on the day (8 hours)
Unlimited phone or emailing

Full planning & Coordination
Following an initial meeting you would be presented with a mood board and a budget (or confirmation of what is achievable within a set budget) – from there, it includes:
Sourcing and coordination with suppliers & venue
Budget management including payments
Invitation list management
Accommodation management
Coordination on the day
Unlimited phone or emailing
Unlimited travel

Emma took charge of the Wedding Breakfast for my son’s wedding held in a Marquee in our garden last September. We had a sit down meal for 72 at lunchtime and a hog roast for around 90 in the evening. I didn't want to pay and run without saying thank you to you again for everything you (and earlier, Billie) did to help make our wedding day so special. We realise now that no-one gets a Dodmoor recommendation without being very good indeed at what they do, but throughout the months of planning you listened to our ideas, steered us when we needed it and topped it off with a fabulous Wedding Breakfast (and don't get me started on the fabulous cheese platters!). Nothing but clean plates on the day (apart from the Best Man, but I can't pin his speechmaking nerves on Portfolio) and nothing but rave reviews afterwards. Fantastic. We've been back in the real world (sadly) for about a week or so now, and just wanted to drop you a note to say a huge thank you for all your hard work leading up to and on the day of our wedding on 23 Oct. We've had so many compliments on the food - from the guests who stationed themselves on the "canape route" because they didn't want to miss any of them, to the chaps I saw guzzling 3 bacon rolls in the evening! A number of people since we've got back from honeymoon have told us it was the nicest food they've ever had at a wedding. My parents too were really grateful to have meals they could eat and I know it really helped them to enjoy themselves on the day.
