My name is Leigh Paki and I am 26 years old. I am a very friendly, ambitious and easy-going person. I love and enjoy organising events, it makes me feel a part of something special. Putting in that extra effort to make a simple gathering turn into an unforgettable event invigorates me. Seeing my client's face light up with excitement lets me know I have succeeded as a professional planner and as a person.
I have 10 years’ experience with customer service and clientele. 3 out of the 10 years is in hospitality which involved responsible service of alcohol, food and beverage service and cash handling.
I finished high school in 2000 and completed my Beauty Therapy Diploma in 2001.
I am the youngest of 3 with 2 older brothers. My parents have always seen my creative and leading side and finally I have embraced it and am using it to my advantage.
My services involve:
Client consultation This involves discussing your special event and going over the basics of what you require and expect as well as going through your budget and timeframe.
Planning and preparing Once my tasks and schedule are set, all the planning and preparation can begin leaving you (the client) to relax and know everything is under control. I am always in full contact with client during the planning and preparation to ensure they are happy with the service and that their budget is met. Some clients may not have the time to look around for the best price, so this is where I come in to take the pressure off.
Co-ordinating services during the event: Pre-planning and organising on the day is the most important task. All my resources and staff members are briefed on the event to make sure the event runs smoothly while the client enjoys their special day.
Complete planning service: This involves planning the entire event (wedding, birthday). Again some clients do not have the time to plan an event due to work or family commitments. Knowing you have someone to take care of everything makes it a lot easier for the client.
Personal referrals and other businesses: This involves referring people to businesses I would recommend that are well-priced and involved within the event industry. This saves clients ringing around for services they have never used before. Receiving the necessary information can help make their event planning easier if they choose to do it themselves. This would involve a spotter’s fee.
