Hello, my name is Lisa and I look forward to working with you! As a student of QC School of Event and Wedding Planning, I am new to the industry. I consider myself to be detailed-oriented, organized and a forward thinker. I enjoy planning creative events, and I am eager to begin working with clients to design your special day!

Upon receiving my certification as an International Event and Wedding Planning Professional (IEWP) I look forward to starting my business, It’s Your Day Special Occasions & Events. My slogan, “Inspired by You”, is straightforward and the heart of my business...after all it's your day!

A Little More About Me

My interest in special events first peaked in high school. I assisted my mom in coordinating a Prom Fashion Show for the DEB Shop during my junior and senior year. During my senior year I became interested in the Travel and Tourism Industry, and upon my 2003 graduation from Slippery Rock High School I attended Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania (SRU).

I am a 2007 graduate of SRU, where I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Resort Recreation Management/Tourism (RRM/T) and a minor in Business Administration. I have worked with American Hospitality Academy (AHA) in Myrtle Beach, SC as an Activities Director, and Hilton Grand Vacations Club (HGVC) in Orlando, FL as an Activities Coordinator.

During my employment with both organizations I promoted, directed and often created recreation activities for kids, teens and families. These events included games, arts-n-crafts, off–site excursions, holiday themed activities and Kid’s Night Out.

Recently I have been working in the Non–Profit sector as a Children and Youth Coordinator through the AmeriCorps program with the I CARE House in New Castle, PA. Upon completion of my second term with AmeriCorps I was hired as the Children, Youth & Family Programs Director at the I CARE House. Sadly due to insufficient funds and the current economic hardships I was later laid off. As a result I enrolled in the QC School of Event and Wedding Planning to obtain a certification as an IEWP.

Services Available

~Consultation Meeting~
I meet with all interested clients to get to know you and review the services I provide. We discuss the event you’re planning, your expectations and how I can help make it a reality. This service is free for the first hour.

~Event Consulting~
With this service the client takes care of everything. I am there to provide advice, suggestions and vendor contacts as needed right up until the day of the event.


~Day of Event Coordinating~
With this service the client handles all the planning. I will meet with you prior to the event to review your vendors and schedule for the day. I am on–site the day of the event to make sure all of your hard work comes together without a hitch.


~Event Planning~
With this service I take care of everything. This is ideal for clients with limited time or planning experience. Clients provide as general or detailed idea for the concept of his/her event and I make sure everything is done to exceed your expectations. This option allows you control of your event without being bothered with all the planning details. I will take care of all aspects of your event from the invitations to the day of the event and everything in between.


~Special Occasions~
This service is available for such occasions as engagement parties, bridal showers, bachelor / bachelorette parties, rehearsal dinners, anniversary parties, retirement parties, baby showers, graduations, and birthday parties. These smaller occasions still require that special touch. With these occasions I will give you as little or as much assistance as you feel you need in planning and coordinating your special day.


~Deposits~
For all events there is a $100.00 non–refundable deposit to hold the date for all special occasions and events. Each client receives 100 miles of travel per event, for every mile over 100 miles there is a $0.50 per mile fee.
