Posh Functions was established in 2006, I was planning my eldest son’s 21st birthday party and could not find an event planner to my liking, and my only option was to become my own event planner. After a very successful even catering for 350 guests, I was inundated with requests from family and friends to plan their events. Before long I was requested to do even planning for weddings, corporate functions, seminars, team building and fundraising. Although I do travel widely to plan events, I have now built my own Posh Conference & wedding centre where I also have my office and showrooms.
I was born in Marquard, a small farming town in the Free State, where I matriculated; I then studied at the University of Free State for 3 years before entering into the corporate banking world. During my 23 years in the corporate world, I often assisted in the planning of staff training and team building as well as planning functions such as workshops, promotions and seminars. It was during this time that I realized my passion for event planning. With my personnel experience gained in the corporate world I have managed to train and put together a dedicated efficient team who are able to cater for events ranging from: kiddie’s parties, birthday parties, 21st parties, costume parties, anniversary parties valentine parties, bachelor parties, kitchen teas, weddings, fund raising events, wine tasting, team building, conferences and seminars, no matter how big or how small.
Posh functions goes the extra mile for you, we take all the stress and worries out of your hands by offering you the full package, we will find and book you a suitable venue, prepare and send out your invitations, arrange vehicles and transport where needed, arrange transport and accommodation for out of town guests, attend to your wardrobe, makeup, nails & hair if requested, supply or obtain tables, chairs, lighting, smoke & bubble machines, sound and visual equipment as needed, negotiate and secure musicians or other entertainers, interior and exterior décor, table décor and centre pieces, flowers, cutlery & crockery, prepare the menu, supervise the caterers, plan the floor lay out and seating, assist with song choice & music, interview speakers or the master of ceremonies, assist with purchasing of wedding dresses and wedding cakes, ensure the waiters and barman as well trained, ensure that the venue is clean the following day and all hired equipment returned as well as deposits refunded. Our dedicated staff will assist with any reasonable or humanly possible request you may have, as well as have backup plans and be available to solve any crisis that may occur. Communication is the key to a successful event, hence all interviews will be recorded and documented, and photos will be taken of table layout and décor.
To date, the Dinokeng big 5 ladies Tea has not matched the ladies Tea held at your facility, not only did you attract more ladies than ever experienced before at a ladies Tea, but your umbrellas and tables settings in your garden were so up market and professionally done.
